Heathers Hideaway

I was there for two nights just before Christmas and really wished I could stay longer. You can walk everywhere from here, which is ideal if you don’t have a car. The staff are lovely and ready to help, the rooms are spacious, and the beds are extremely comfortable. The pool and communal seating areas are great too.

My sister and I had such a good time here, we’re sure to come back. The staff were kind, and having parking and a 12pm checkout was handy. Our room was nicely decorated and had a washing machine. The pool area is great, especially on windy days, and there’s a BBQ space with kitchen facilities. We picked up bread and sausages from Brad the butcher next door and made delicious sandwiches. 10/10.

Feb26. The main beach and shops are an easy walk away, and the room was clean with nice linen. I liked being able to open the sliding door for fresh air, though that also let in the street noise. My room, #1, was small but nicely renovated and faced the road and carport. It was awful. The hotel feels very old and shabby despite its facelift, and the photos make it look much better. “Lord” is more like a rambling castle. For the price, I expected more. There’s a huge renovation site next door, with banging from 7AM Monday and traffic noise from 6. I wouldn’t book again until construction is finished.

We stayed one night and were really happy with it. The room was lovely, the bed was just right, and the long rooms looking over the pool and tennis court were a highlight. Staff were great, and it’s an easy walk to town and the shops. Thanks, we’ll be back.
