The apartment's location was a highlight for us. We could walk to the beach and a cafe, and it took about 15 minutes to get into town. We rented it for a week. There's a lovely main balcony with a table, chairs, and a sun chair, plus an undercover parking space. There are several stairs up to the property. Inside, the living area is spacious, though the couch is old and lumpy. The apartment itself is lovely, with plenty of balconies, a well-stocked kitchen, a big fridge, and a dishwasher. The induction stove and dishwasher worked well. The oven is old and its markings have rubbed off, but I found the manual in a drawer, which helped. Some knives were good, though not very sharp anymore. The small laundry has a basket, pegs, sink, washing machine, dryer, and clothes airer. Bring your own washing powder and toiletries, as the ad says. They did provide dishwashing liquid and a couple of tea towels. There's also a shared clothesline, which we didn't use. We appreciated the big and small coffee plungers and the nice selection of teas. Bring dishwasher detergent or tablets too. The linens were good quality and there were enough towels. The bedding was warm enough for the weather, but some beds were less comfortable than others and the pillows weren't very good. Internet gave us trouble, but they fixed it promptly. The shared BBQ was filthy, and having a small one on the balcony would help. If they updated the beds, pillows, and couch and added a balcony BBQ, I'd give the place five stars.

The location is the main appeal here. It's a 10-15 minute walk to two great beaches, and there's a nice pool. Beyond that, the apartment was a very disappointing stay. We were in apartment 3, advertised as 'luxury', but it desperately needs renovation. It rained for most of our week, which isn't the apartment's fault, but being indoors made its dark, dank, old condition hard to ignore. The WiFi could barely manage email. Streaming video wouldn't start, even after several attempts to restart the router, so in the evenings or bad weather we couldn't relax with Netflix. We had to use 4g, which can be patchy. The apartment wasn't clean when we arrived. We had to leave for a few hours while the cleaner quickly mopped and vacuumed, and there was still visible mould in the bathroom afterwards. A pile of dirty laundry was waiting for us, and you could see mould and rot coming out from the bottom of the bathroom cabinetry. The booking agent let us check out "any time" on our last day as compensation. The BBQ didn't work either. We only wanted to use it once, on a whim, and by the time we'd considered asking or complaining, the moment had passed. It should just work without troubleshooting. There's little to recommend this unit besides its location, so if that's all you need, it may suit you.

This is a tucked-away little find, with a beach and a cute cafe within walking distance and town not too far off. The apartment has the amenities you'd need. The internal washer and dryer were especially handy for travelling with kids.

We rented unit 6 through Airbnb. It's a spacious, nicely furnished unit with good facilities. The bedrooms were a bit cold, though, since there's no heating in them.

We had a great week at Solaris and will be back. The apartments and pool are lovely, and the place is far enough from town to feel removed while still being close to the beach. Thanks for a beautiful stay.
