I don't understand how this place is only rated 4.4 stars. It's a hidden gem, with one of the most beautiful and unusual hotel rooms I've stayed in. The staff were so sweet, and the whole place has a little oasis feel while still being easy to walk into town. At check-in they mentioned a concert nearby and apologized, offering ideas in advance to make things right. I honestly didn't notice the music at all. When I'm back in Byron, I'm booking here again, and I've already recommended it to everyone I know who's coming to Australia. (Allie LaCroix (Curttright))

My husband and I spent Christmas here and had a wonderful time. The staff were friendly and there was parking on site. It was easy to walk into Byron bay town and to the beach, and the price felt reasonable for the area. Our room had a peaceful Balinese style, almost like a little slice of paradise. I especially liked the jacuzzi bath and the outdoor shower. I'd highly recommend it.

The town centre and beach are both a short walk away, and the place still feels quiet and private. It was beautifully designed, clean and well cared for, with a unique feel. We'd absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere peaceful and secluded but very well located in Byron.

We weren't told about the hostel and club behind the property until check-in. The techno music goes on loudly until 3am. Inside, the accommodation was really dirty and very dated, and I found the owners very dishonest. Awful place. I'll warn people thinking of staying here.

Dragonflys Rest felt wonderfully peaceful and secluded, and we'll certainly be back. Walking along your own path through the gardens to the front door, you can feel the serenity straight away. The outdoor space has all the charm of Bali and everything you need for a weekend away, with privacy all around and the main restaurants and shops just a short walk away. Our host, Zoe, was charming and accommodating. Highly recommend!
