The room had a small bottle of milk in the fridge, air conditioning in the main room, and a verandah overlooking the river. It’s a lovely little place by the lakes, and the receptionist was so warm and lovely to chat with. A couple of things could be tricky depending on your situation. The room door has no lock, deadbolt, or chain on the inside, which left us worried about our children who tend to wander off. Parking isn’t assigned, either. After dinner we had to use visitor parking and carry our sleeping kids all the way across the site. We’re both just over six feet tall, and the shower head only tilted to about the top of our backs. Getting our heads under it took some awkward bending, though it should be fine for shorter people. We had a lovely stay, but we’d want an inside lock on the family room door before staying again.

Zowie at reception gave us a very friendly welcome. Our room looked out over the river, and the place was peaceful and quiet while still being close to the shops.

The owners were welcoming and helpful, and they have a gorgeous dog. The rooms were quiet and kept clean and tidy. It’s also in a handy spot near shops and places to eat.

The motel itself was fine, but there’s no sink in the room, so if you eat in there you’ll have to wash up at the bathroom vanity. I’d avoid eating in the room.

The rooms were clean and arranged well, and despite expecting traffic noise, we didn’t hear any. Staff were friendly and helpful, and you’re close to everything. A great place to stay. I’ll definitely come back, thanks.
