Acacia Court Hotel

There was hair in the sink, strange stains on the bed and in the bathroom, and dead bugs lying around. I also found cockroaches and mold. The place was dirty, and I didn't like staying there.

The water views from its great spot on the esplanade are a plus, and the room price is good value with breakfast included. The hotel is being renovated at the moment. It's handy for a night if your flight arrives late, since it's close to the airport.

I couldn't feel safe there with groups of drunk people shouting and carrying on late at night. The room was run down, and the furniture and fixtures seemed barely put together. Even reception felt neglected, with parts of the hotel no longer in use. I was very disappointed. This place definitely doesn't deserve a 4-star rating.

The view over the esplanade was nice, and the bathroom and shower were pleasant. Most of the rest made me regret booking, even before the first day was over. Our key card wouldn't register in the lift, so we kept needing someone in the lobby to swipe theirs for us. The air con didn't work, and with no fans we left the door open all night for cooler air. Other residents stayed noisy until early morning, so sleep was hard to come by. The free Wi-Fi was awful and the fridge barely kept anything cool. I could smell someone smoking pot nearby, too. I wouldn't recommend this place to family, friends, or anyone.
