Blue Lagoon Lakeside Studio

We planned to stay for two weeks, but liked it so much we ended up staying four. The accommodation was spacious, spotless, and had everything we needed, so it felt like home. The resort is lovely and well maintained, and reception staff were friendly and really helpful. The soundproofing was excellent, too. Trinity Beach and its amenities are just a few minutes' walk away. We loved eating on the balcony, and the drives to Cairns and Port Douglas had splendid views along the way. We'll definitely stay again.

We've stayed at Blue Lagoon many times, but this visit wasn't as enjoyable as the others. The apartment was spotless and overlooked the infinity pool. We had a spacious two-bedroom unit, though the second bedroom was locked, and the cabinetry and furniture looked dated. We asked for a particular apartment or a ground-floor one by the pool between the two apartment blocks. Instead, we were put in Block D, where a lift led to the shared front door. We arrived just as the office was about to close, and the girl there wasn't very welcoming. The biggest problem was the almost nonexistent wifi. It kept dropping whenever I tried to move from one page to another, which made streaming impossible. After a few days I asked about it and was told it had been happening for about a month, despite an 'expert' working on it. They knew about the issue but hadn't warned us. I also asked about hiring the electric cars, but the girl didn't know how they worked or what they cost. We would have liked to try one for a day, but couldn't. Parking was another problem. There weren't enough spaces for the number of guests, and after dinner we often found them all taken. I think spaces should be assigned to apartment numbers so guests can count on one nearby. The resort is close to the beach and within walking distance of a small shopping centre farther up the road towards the highway. Without needing the wifi, our stay would have been much more pleasant.

We had a great time at Blue Lagoon Resort, and Bridget made our holiday so special. I accidentally cancelled my paid reservation in the booking app, and the app wouldn't reinstate it. I contacted Blue Lagoon directly within an hour to explain my mistake. Bridget kindly restored the booking and upgraded us to a three-bedroom apartment, which we enjoyed so much. The apartment was spotless, spacious, stylishly furnished, and had a spectacular view of the lagoon. It's close to Trinity beach and restaurants, and there's so much to do in Cairns. We'd definitely return to Blue Lagoon Resort. Thank you, Bridget!

The office staff were always friendly and helpful, and the apartment was clean, lovely, and had every amenity. Blue lagoon was easy to get to, with restaurants and cafes nearby. The main roads north and south were easy to access, and there are plenty of different things to do in the area. Highly recommend.
