The birds and the sea were all we could hear here, and it was so peaceful. The place was spotless and in a really good location. I loved my couple of days here. It’s close to the beach and a lovely spot full of palm trees, even though it’s not on the main street.

I spent three months here while working in the area, and don’t regret it at all. The people made me feel supported every day, like a big family. It felt like home, a share house with good people and good vibes, and the management was great. The rooms are big, with private toilets, and there’s a fully equipped shared kitchen, outdoor BBQ, pool and laundry. Everything was clean and organised. Best hostel in Palm Cove, and actually the only one, but it’s well worth staying here!

Flashpackers was paradise for me: super clean, friendly, good value and a safe place to stay. The location is brilliant, and we booked a fabulous Great Barrier Reef trip through them on our hosts’ recommendation. It ticked all the boxes.
