Trinity Waters

Our second-floor, two-bedroom unit had wonderful views of the promenade and beach. It was a lovely stay at Trinity Waters. The place is a little dated, but has what you need for a restful holiday: comfortable beds, excellent air conditioning and fans, and plenty of crockery and saucepans. Quite a few restaurants are close by, including a wonderful Italian Restaurant next door that I'd highly recommend.

The beach outlook is what saves this from being close to a three-star stay. The location on level 2 was great, and the apartments are spacious with worthwhile balconies. The rooms are a bit dated, though. The shower head fell off the wall, a balcony chair had its back come off, and there wasn't a can opener.

The views over Trinity beach were beautiful, and the apartment was incredibly spacious, with three fully air-conditioned rooms. It shows its age in a few places, but seems well looked after. Our room, though, was quite dirty: the floor was so covered in dirt I had to wear socks inside, the couches smelled and were dusty, and the TV remotes and placemats were greasy with leftover food. I'd recommend it, but be aware the apartment could be very dirty.

The views are beautiful, but my husband and I are really disappointed. We came for our 10th wedding anniversary after looking forward to the trip all year, and now we're just counting down to Saturday so we can fly home. The outside of the building needs a serious clean. Driving up to it was off-putting, even depressing. Unit 3 looked like a lovely modern holiday apartment at first, but the blinds and screen doors were dirty, the lounges dusty and stained, the bed smelled unpleasant, and the floors were sticky. The washing machine lid was so rusty I couldn't use it, which was a real hassle. There's also a bizarre towel rule: one small white towel per person for the whole week. Staff reluctantly let me swap our two towels for clean ones today, but only after I pushed the manager. Guests are expected to reuse the same small towel several times a day for showers and the pool. Gross. I know Trinity Waters isn't luxury accommodation, even though the main page of its website claims that, but I still expected it to be clean and maintained. Cleanliness isn't a luxury.
