They charged $300 for one night, which felt like a big scam. The room was stingy, yucky, and smelly, with dirty sheets and blankets. Communication was unclear and customer service was very, very bad. The lady was very rude. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

The noise from other rooms was shocking, and I think this is the worst place we’ve ever stayed. We paid $190 a night and had no hot water all week. I told the owner every day but got nowhere. Homeless people and others seemed to get more done for them than we did.

Worst hotel I’ve stayed at in Cairns. Management, staff, policies, and OHS procedures were all a problem. Dirty towels and linen left by old tenants in the supposedly serviced room made me worry about disease, and an angry manager entered the room violently and abused us. Don’t stay here. I’d give zero stars if I could.

For $200 a night plus a $50 dog cleaning fee, this felt like an overpriced long term housing facility rather than a hotel. We only stayed because we couldn’t find a pet friendly place for those dates. The air conditioning and fans worked great, the fridge was cold, reception was lovely, and the soft beds were good for our backs. The positives ended there. Right outside our door, people were drinking wine straight from the bottle and barely coherent. We said hello and got no response. Others were smoking nearby. The place smelled of stale cigarette smoke, with current residents smoking close to our room and the smell getting trapped inside. We saw no designated smoking area, just sardine tins overflowing with cigarette butts outside rooms. The windows wouldn’t open, so the only relief was standing in the bathroom for slightly fresher air. Cigarette butts were everywhere. Our dogs didn’t make a mess, but they were treated as the problem while the state of the venue went ignored. The room had mould marks on the bathroom ceiling and was hot and damp when we arrived. There was no microwave, which was fine, but the wardrobe was in the bathroom. The supposedly clean spare bed already had visible paw prints before our dogs even got inside, and there was rubbish in the bins when we arrived. They handed us sheets in case the dogs jumped on the beds, but the spare bed already looked uncared for. It was hard to believe how dirty it was. The place had a sketchy, unsafe feel, trashy and smelly, and seemed to have people living there long term. To top it off, there was no smoke detector. Avoid.
