I had a really bad stay, and the customer service felt poor and degrading from start to finish. Reception service was bad, the walls were filthy and dusty, and the doorknobs needed replacing. Cleaning was poor too: I found hair and rubbish under the couch cushions. One faulty knob even left me locked in the bathroom. Management told me to wait through the weekend for a locksmith, and I couldn't understand why replacing a knob was so difficult. Nobody called to say whether it had been changed or to offer a different room. I found that very strange and disappointing for a 4-star motel. The photos are misleading. QLD Health should stop using this motel for patient accommodation. This place sucks.

The helpful, friendly team sorted out parking for us because our vehicle was a bit too high. We'd stayed before, and this time had a recently refreshed-looking room on the top floor overlooking the pool. Most city attractions are within walking distance. We live just up the hill, so we'll definitely stay again.

I paid $222 including taxes for one night for work, which felt like a complete ripoff. The clean sheets and towels, hot running water, and working air-conditioning were the only good parts. The rest was awful: marked, dirty walls throughout, a bathroom bin still holding bloody tissues, a broken towel rail off the wall, and a sink with soap and hair from the previous guest. There was a sticky, dirty drinking glass in the kitchenette cupboard and floors so filthy they turned the soles of my feet black. I had to lay towels down just to keep my feet clean. The bedroom had only an overhead light, no bedside lamps, and no hairdryer, which is usually standard in hotels. The door couldn't close because the bed blocked it, and its handle had made a hole in the wall. I left as early as I could the next morning.

I stayed in Room 505 and found it clean, comfortable, and nicely prepared. The bed was cozy, the Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and there was a pleasant view with little noise. Housekeeping kept everything spotless, and the staff were helpful and friendly at check-in and check-out. The location made getting around easy. I'd happily return to Room 505.
