Palm Cove Tropic Apartments

The location is great, it's quiet, and the pool is beautiful. But getting help was very difficult because the front desk was usually shut, even during the hours listed. We had a lot of apartment issues: the dryer didn't work, there were only two towels for three of us, and the whole apartment had just one nearly empty toilet paper roll, so we bought more ourselves. The apartment door also wouldn't close properly, which felt like a security risk. Not impressed.

We stayed five nights in a two-bedroom apartment, and the rooms were fabulous and quiet. The location was great, there was covered parking, and we enjoyed the pool. Reception had a good selection of tour brochures and booked tours for guests.

The pool was warm and cleaned every day, and the service was quick and friendly. It's only a two-minute walk to the beach, with loads of places to eat in town. Our self-contained unit had cooking facilities and a full-size fridge. We stayed nine days, and they changed the towels and sheets twice. The solid walls helped keep it quiet. You can shut everything up and use the aircon, or leave the doors and windows open with the two big ceiling fans. Happy to recommend it to anyone.

There was a lovely tropical view of the natural forest beside the apartment, and the gardens and pool made it a real place to unwind. The family who run the business were friendly and so helpful. Just behind the Main Street, it's easy to walk everywhere, and the room was comfortable, quiet and well appointed. A hidden gem. We'll definitely be back!
