The village is very touristy, but it's a nice place. The pool, spa and barbecue area were all really clean and pleasant, and the other equipment in the apartment was fine and new. The apartment was nearly clean too, apart from a few hairs left in the shower, which can happen. Some details really affected the stay. There was no sink in the small kitchen, so we had to wash dishes in the bathroom sink, and there was no mosquito protection on the doors, which meant keeping them shut. A bar/restaurant was right outside our terrace doors, with a direct view into the room unless we closed the wooden jalousie. We couldn't get useful information from reception without changing our plans. We left before 9am and usually returned after 5pm. Since it was Easter weekend, we had no chance to ask for more information. We were only handed the list of do's and don'ts when we arrived, a few minutes past 5pm. I was really annoyed that we only had two shower towels and one to share for everything else. If there had been more towels or a change available, we would have asked reception and paid for it. That's not hotel service at all. Extra fees for everything? We could have emailed reception, but honestly, I'm on holiday. If you're offering Paradise on the Beach, think about the services that make a holiday feel like paradise.

Food and drinks nearby are hugely expensive, so bring supplies. Some rooms have basic cooking facilities. The poolside internet was poor at best, so take a hotspot. Noise we heard came from trucks outside the resort, which they can't do anything about. The staff were relaxed and the atmosphere was easygoing. Service was outstanding whenever we could find a staff member, and they clearly know they need to look after guests. Great location. Would I recommend the resort? Absolutely.

Restaurants are just a stroll away, and the location is great, right across from the beach and the bus stop to Cairns. The bed was really comfortable, but the room felt tired, especially the bathroom. There was no bathroom fan, so it got very steamy. A table and chairs on the balcony would have been nice.

The apartment was spotless and the beds were super comfortable. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return, thanks to the staff who made it so good. It's perfectly placed for the beach and restaurants. This isn't a high-end resort, and the price reflects that. Great value for money.

We arrived early hoping to check in, but couldn't. When we came back at 2 pm, the room still wasn't ready, and we waited until 3.30 to get in. We laughed it off at the time. The next day, after going out, none of our keys worked, including the manager's. We waited another two hours to access our room. What if we'd needed medication or something? The manager said he understood how we felt, but those sounded like trained words. I doubt they give a damn. The attitude was omnipotent. At 8 am on day two, alarms woke us and people were outside with machines. Not good enough. We left early with a day and night still on our stay. I should have read all the reviews, not just the ones they keep. I spoke to another female manager about a refund for all the crap we put up with. Really, customer service is your job.
