The hotel was spotless and beautiful, and the nine days from arrival through departure were a delight. Our evening function on the 2nd floor went smoothly, and the pool resort area was clean and relaxing despite some renovation work. It’s close to the esplanade and convention centre, handy for activities and attractions. The room was one of the best I’ve stayed in for a longer visit, with thoughtful touches like plenty of drawers and USB-C ports. The front desk team also made a real difference. Jaya’s smile, attention to detail and great memory made me feel special, and her check-ins when I came and went felt like family looking after me. Junko patiently helped sort out a confusing triple booking and make the stay seamless. Faz was calm and steady, with a lovely manner. All the staff seemed proud of the hotel and were available for questions or requests. I’d highly recommend it.

Mr. Perera, the Coco's Restaurant Manager, and Dollie at the front office went out of their way to make everything run smoothly. Breakfast was delicious, and both the Gym and Pool were well maintained. The hotel is handy for the Reef Terminal and city center. My room was spacious, with a comfortable bed, crisp clean linen and a spotless bathroom. From the balcony I had great views of the street and cruise liner terminal.

We liked how much there was to walk to, while the hotel still sat in a quieter part of town. The room was huge, with a balcony, big shower, comfortable beds, good blackout curtains, a couch and a mini fridge. The pool and hot tub were really enjoyable, though there wasn’t enough shade for the lounge chairs. We understood umbrellas weren’t practical in the wind, but thought they could safely add shade cloth in one corner, as nearby hotels had done. Room service choices were a bit underwhelming. Still, we had a lovely stay and would recommend it.

The convenient parking underneath, good location, clean room and friendly staff were all positives. The room itself, though, had dated, rather shabby furniture and fittings. In the first five minutes after arriving we had to call maintenance because the balcony door wouldn’t open. There were exposed screws in the furniture, swollen laminate and holes in the bathroom tiles where a fixture had been taken out. This didn’t feel five-star at all.
