Birdsong and dappled light while I soaked in the bath made the place feel wonderfully serene. It was private, well located, clean and very comfortable, with everything thoughtfully provided. Loved it!

It’s just a walk from the main shops in Castlemaine, across from a gorgeous cafe called Doveton. The Dairy is delightful, with everything you need and a rustic vibe that makes you feel right at home.

We spent a wonderful 4 nights at The Dairy and wanted for nothing. It was warm, peaceful and extremely well set up, with appreciated extra effort and attention to detail. Communication was excellent and everything was very well run. Town, walking tracks and attractions are all within walking distance. We really enjoyed our getaway 😊

The comfy sofa and bed made for a lovely stay. Since it used to be a dairy, there are still twenty plus ‘cows’ 🐄 inside. Count them! It’s an old building, so the uneven bathroom floor and the steps at the entrance and into the bedroom are part of the experience. Take care on them. The town is downhill nearby. Try the paved footpath on the other side of Hargreaves Street, one of the few paved footpaths in Castlemaine.
