Wattle Terrace in Castlemaine was a wonderful base for hosting our beautiful family for 3 days, and felt like a little bit of luxury. Every detail you could need was there at your disposal. It’s so central that everywhere we needed to go was 5-10 minutes away.

The cottage has a lot of charm, and its clever design and excellent facilities made our stay in Castlemaine a real pleasure. We enjoyed the whole experience and hope to come back in 2025.

The booking details described the place accurately, and the accommodation was lovely, clean and comfortable. The beds were especially good, and I'm fussy about that. Such a shame the gas log fire wasn't working, as we would've loved the atmosphere it would have brought to the room. Thanks for a nice stay.

We really enjoyed the house and its great location. It was lovely and well presented, but the heating problem on our first night took away from an otherwise excellent stay. Neither option worked, even though we followed the instructions, so the evening was very cold. The hosts got back to us promptly the next morning and brought portable heaters. Later we found out one was already waiting for parts and the other wasn't working either. We appreciated how quickly they responded once we contacted them, but it was disappointing that there was no compensation for the inconvenience and cold first night.
