The house has a layout that works well for a good-sized group, and nobody felt crowded. The bedrooms have plenty of space, and we spent a lovely lazy stretch by the pool after a wine tour. We didn’t bring the pups this time, but after seeing the fully enclosed fencing and outdoor areas, we’d bring them next time. Thanks for letting us use the garage and for having the place clean and stocked with everything we needed when we arrived. 10/10, we’d stay again!

The outdoor dining area was so inviting that it was hard to leave, and the pool was wonderfully refreshing on this visit. We’ve now stayed at Tara-Lee three times, and every stay has been a pleasure. The rooms look lovely and the beds are really comfortable. It’s clean, classy, and a great spot for a weekend with friends or family, with lots to see around the Hunter Valley nearby.

We came for the night before my wedding, with my bridesmaids and the mother of the Groom. There was room for everyone to sleep comfortably, and the house stayed fairly cool despite the humid weather. We had a relaxing dinner out on the back deck. Tara Lee worked so well for our friends and family, and the wine country is only a 15-minute drive away. This was my second stay here, five years after the first. I hope to return soon. Thank you Karen and John, the place is spectacular!

It was lovely to bring our dog along, and the welcome touches were a bottle of wine and chocolate waiting in the fridge. We had a fabulous weekend in this historic house, with newer additions in just the right spots, especially the kitchen and pool.

The house itself is fabulous, with a lovely deck, a pool, and an old sitting room. Unfortunately, the landlord had forgotten we were arriving, so the poor cleaner was rushing around when we got there, though she was lovely. There’s no Wi-Fi, which seems odd these days. Still, it was a nice stay.
