Vine Valley Inn

The location worked well for business or leisure, easy to reach but still peaceful. The room was spotless, well furnished and thoughtfully kept up for comfort and convenience. Staff were professional, courteous and attentive, making the whole stay smooth and welcoming. Great value for money. I’d gladly return and recommend it to others.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and we found the place clean and comfortable. We only stayed one night with two adults and three kids. They provided a clean cot for our one-year-old, and it was easy to set up in the room. The shared kitchen was clean too, with a seating area. Shops in Cessnock were an easy walk away. We’ll come back.

The front desk service was great, but the room was a different story. The shower made an extremely loud screaming noise that wouldn’t stop. The glass cups in the fridge were filthy, with brown stains, and there was a disgusting amount of rubbish under the bed. Pubic hair was all over the toilet. The lounge was filthy too, like no one had ever lifted the cushions to clean underneath.

Sanja was lovely when I checked in, and the location is perfect. I could walk everywhere in town without needing a taxi, and the wineries are less than 10 minutes away. There’s also free private parking. The outside might not impress you, but inside this place is a gem, full of character and little surprises. My room even had golf irons used as clothes hangers, and I’m still noticing more quirky details. It’s clean and cosy, with a wow factor wherever you look. I’ve stayed in all the usual named hotels, but I’d choose this anytime. If you’re not pretentious, this is the place for you. Five stars.
