Battunga Bed and Breakfast

We slept so well in the comfortable bed, and the linen was lovely. Kerry had stocked us up so generously with provisions, especially the bacon and fresh bread. We wanted for nothing. Thanks, we’d love to come back!

The Rosella cottage was spotless, and all the thoughtful details were much appreciated. Kerry welcomed us with freshly baked bread and made us feel at home. We spent two nights there and thought it was absolutely beautiful. We’ll definitely return.

Christmas has become a lovely tradition for us at Battunga Cottages. This was our third stay, and Kerry and Mark made it fantastic again with their incredible attention to detail. The cottages have everything we needed and then some. We’ll be back. Roger and Linda

Our days exploring the valley ended nicely with a chilled bottle of Crabtree Riesling, and the bed was so good we wanted to take it home. There are walking trails on the property and nearby, with lovely views over the valley from the hill above the cottages. Watervale is a charming little wine town, and the vineyards around it are close to Mark and Kerry’s cottages in the bush. The setting is a great base for the Clare Valley, with plenty of activities within a 20-30 minute drive. We stayed in Galah Cottage for three nights. It was cosy and welcoming, and the website photos don’t quite capture that. Everything was clean and well appointed, and our generous hosts had clearly thought of what we might need. Breakfast supplies were excellent quality and plentiful, more than enough for the stay. The amenities made it comfortable and relaxing. Battunga Cottages belongs high on the list for anyone planning to visit this lovely part of the world.
