Riverview Tavern

We went to enjoy the Ross river view after all the heavy rain we’ve had lately in Tville. It was fun and relaxing to watch from the terrace. The kitchen was closed while we were there, so if you arrive for a late lunch, make sure to order before 2pm. At least that gives us a reason to come back and try some of the food.

The room is huge and clean, and there’s a huge bar, bistro and so many TVs. Staff were friendly and professional, the food was great and reasonably priced. Yesterday was my 67th birthday, and I got free chocolate cake and a cappuccino. There was free popcorn at the pokies machine too. I walked by the Ross river, and it was awesome. The hotel is close to a shopping center, clinics, a pharmacy, a coffee shop and more.

The drinks were well priced and the staff were friendly. We ordered parmi x 2, then waited well over an hour before finding out they’d sent Schnitties to the kitchen as our order. When they brought them out, we’d already said they weren’t ours because we’d ordered parmi. By then we were past hungry, so we got a refund. The live music was nice, though it could be a little too loud when we were trying to talk with the others in our group.

The food was alright and arrived in a reasonable time, but the service made this a first and last visit. When we arrived, the women behind the bar were rude after we interrupted their conversation. They brushed off my family and made us feel like a burden. After we mentioned our booking, they led us to the table without saying anything or giving us menus, so we had to ask where to find one and how to order. We ordered drinks at the bar, but our request was ignored and we had to repeat it. The service was rude again.
