The food was tasty, came in a great portion, and was very good for the price. The size for the cost was among the best, and I'd order again. The cups were the one letdown. They look much bigger in the photos but are tiny, especially with the steak and beer meal, though I can't remember its name. I didn't order a room, so I haven't rated that.

We've tried eating here four times, and each visit left us disappointed. The food has been wrong each time, whether it was cooked incorrectly, the wrong meal, or a hot meal served cold. We only went because it was convenient for others, but not anymore. We'd rather go somewhere that gets our orders right. I can't comment on the rooms, as I didn't even know they had accommodation.

The food was good, but the order wasn't right. Mine arrived 30 minutes before everyone else's, and one steak was almost raw, so it was sent back. After we chased twice to ask where the replacement was, it took another hour to arrive. I was about to ask for a refund when it finally came. No apology, and no real effort to make the customer happy.

The food itself was fine, but it didn't make up for how disappointing my birthday celebration at Upper Ross Hotel turned out to be. We had organised a cake ahead of time and asked three times for a knife and extra plates, then waited more than 15 minutes. There were only a couple of tables being served, yet no staff were around when we needed help. The cleanliness was a major concern too. Dead flies were everywhere, including in the cutlery containers, and our plates were visibly dirty. We raised this with a male server, but he didn't seem concerned or fazed. It took away from what should have been a special occasion.

The location is handy, but the food is always wrong and has to be sent back. I'd rather drive further to get the meal I ordered.
