Housekeeping deserves real credit. Each day the staff serviced the room so well that we returned to a clean, made-up room every night. The room and bathroom were spotless, the toiletries were the best I've come across in years of staying at hotels, including Hiltons, Mercures, Intercontinentals and other major chains worldwide. There was enough tea and coffee for our three-night stay. The property was super quiet despite being right on the highway, so we slept well. Parking was available in the day but full whenever we returned after 2030hrs. There was plenty of street parking and it wasn't a hassle for us. A few things could be improved: there was no bathroom exhaust, and fly screens on the doors would help keep flies and crawlies out if guests want fresh air instead of relying on air conditioning with the door shut. The beds were a little too soft for us, though not a deal breaker, and firmer ones might be worth considering when it's time to replace them. The common areas weren't well lit, which could make it hard to find rooms or keys on arrival. The reception was the biggest disappointment. It stayed closed throughout all three days, despite the listed long opening hours. We never saw staff there or had anyone acknowledge our stay. At checkout, we were told to drop the key in a hole, and that was it. At six pm, when reception was supposed to be open, my daughter asked someone inside if she could borrow a fork and was simply told they were closed. I've never seen that sort of behaviour in hospitality. Best Western should consider retraining the reception staff on customer engagement, or changing them if they aren't willing. We didn't feel welcome, which was very disappointing, especially since the property is otherwise so good. The reception staff seemed to make every effort to avoid any visual interaction. The three stars are all earned by housekeeping. I'd still say give the motel a go for its good points. The housekeeping staff do a tremendous job every day, and the rooms themselves are fantastic.

I've stayed here twice and had a lovely experience both times. Vanessa at the front desk has a warmth that really suits the venue. P.s. Thanks for recommending the Artisan Farmer!

We arrived late and had some trouble finding the motel because the sign wasn't lit and the property was dark. I used a torch I'd brought to find our room after collecting the key from a box with the emailed passcode. The room was OK for the four of us. Everything worked, and there was nothing in particular to note or complain about.

The beds were super comfortable, the room was spacious for the price, and it was cleaned daily with fresh towels. The receptionist who called me was polite and lovely to deal with. We stayed for three nights over the Aussie PH weekend, and the aircon was good. Shops are close by. The only downside came on our last night when we returned late and the car park was full. I'm not sure there were enough spaces for one vehicle per room, but if there are, I recommend marking and allocating them. We had to leave our Ute on the roadside, and when we got back to Brisbane, one of the locks on my husband's toolbox was damaged. That's the only drawback, but I do recommend the hotel and hope they can allocate parking spaces if possible.

The owners and staff are lovely, and the rooms and facilities are clean. But it's very noisy. You hear everything outside your room, from other guests talking, doors slamming and showers running to dogs barking at all hours at the neighbouring houses. If you enjoy a good night's sleep, this isn't the motel for you.
