The first thing we saw walking into the house was dead cockroaches, including some squashed on the walls. The whole place was dirty and didn’t look as though it had been cleaned after the previous guests. That’s bad enough, especially in the middle of a global pandemic. The fake wardrobes and messy BBQ area didn’t help, and the bins were rotten and hadn’t been emptied. There’s no air cooler, just a few pedestal fans. There’s also no easy beach access, so don’t expect to walk there, and the driveway is ridiculously steep.

The views were amazing, and the place had plenty of room for a group. The separate flat downstairs was great too. But the owner needs to make major repairs to the ceiling leaks. Whenever it rained, water poured into the kitchen and dining areas, soaking the benches, dining setting and floors. There was water in the living room as well. It also needs general maintenance and a good clean around the windows and blinds, and the curtains could do with a wash.

The place was a big letdown from the moment I arrived. It wasn’t clean, there was no air conditioning, and only some of the fans worked. The Wi-Fi barely seemed worth having since it was down by the garage. With COVID around, I expected it to have been cleaned properly.

We couldn’t stay for the time we’d booked because the place wasn’t suitable for our kids, but they refused our refund request. It’s a decent size for a large group, though it needs a lot of repairs and isn’t as advertised. The place was dirty and old, with dead bugs everywhere. There’s no air conditioning, and the freestanding fans they provided didn’t work. It’s also not within walking distance of the beach. I wouldn’t recommend it.
