Quality Inn City Centre

A clean room, comfortable bed, good shower, and reliable internet are all I ask for in a motel. I got three out of four here. The internet was terrible, dropping out around 4 pm and staying intermittent after that. I expect better from somewhere that promotes itself as 4-Star.

After managers commented, I want to clarify that we didn’t speak badly to staff. We were first told it was okay for four of us to sleep in one room, then that offer was withdrawn. We were made to buy two rooms for two adults and two children after our car trouble left us towed to Coffs, which was rough. Staff said nothing to us about being abusive, so it’s disrespectful to make that up instead of considering the review. The manager isn’t keeping up maintenance, as the mould in the shower shows. They should also check NSW fire regulations, since this room size allows up to five occupants. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, nothing fancy but not bad, though we found ants throughout the bathroom, which suggests an ongoing pest issue. Would I stay again? Probably not, unless it was the only resort before moving on to 2 star places.

It took us a bit to find our room because there was no reception to help when we arrived late, but it wasn’t a problem for us, just sharing what happened. The hotel lives up to its name, QUALITY. It’s fairly new, and everything looks great and clean.

I paid around $500 for a single night, and the rooms were just ordinary. At that price I expected something fancier, and even the minibar wasn’t free. I don’t understand why prices are so high in a small city like Coffs Harbour when you can find cheaper rooms in central Sydney.
