We enjoyed the mango prawns with rice, and it was nice to find some options beyond the usual pub meals. Service was friendly.

The pub was the highlight of our stay at the Pit Pony over the holidays while visiting family in Collinsville. We ate dinner there two nights running, and both meals were delicious. The meat was tender, juicy, and cooked so well you'd think Gorden Ramsey had grilled it. Fresh, colourful salad with just the right dressing, and the drinks were tasty and made correctly. Good music, great and accommodating bartenders and servers, and fair meal prices too. Booking the room could have gone a bit smoother, my only real complaint. The room was small, but about what I expected for a little town. Would we stay again? Yeah. Am I still thinking about that five star steak from a little town pub more than a week after getting home? Yes. Yes I am.

It used to be a good pub before it was sold. A few of the staff have walked out and are working elsewhere now.

On 23-12-24 we went to Collinsville and found this hidden gem. The meals were well priced, the staff very welcoming, and the place was very clean. Highly recommend. I'll come back next time I'm in Collinsville.
