Chevron Renaissance Private Apartments

The location was good, but we wouldn’t stay with Mantra again. We booked a two bedroom unit through booking.com, and things seemed fine until we arrived. There’s no reception, so you have to call someone to meet you and show you the room, which isn’t ideal when the kids are keen to get going. Before getting the keys, we had to sign a declaration saying we’d basically clean the unit before leaving or pay an hourly fee. They really expect you to leave it just as you found it. Our view was only the pool, which was noisy. Inside was pretty dated, and there was a dead cockroach on the bathroom floor when we arrived.

Would I come back? Based on my stay, yes, though it seems like a game of roulette. We booked because booking.com reviews were good, then I looked it up on Google and was shocked by these reviews. Our booking was non refundable, so I expected the worst but was pleasantly surprised. The location was excellent, the apartment was clean, and the wear from over the years was no big deal. We slept comfortably. The TVs had Netflix, which our friends in a supposedly classier hotel surprisingly didn’t have. The man who met us with the key was pleasant, and the timing worked well.

We were a family of two adults and two kids in Tower 3, level 7. The location was fantastic, and it was great having a supermarket nearby. The outdoor area was wonderful. Finding the reception desk and car parks at first was VERY difficult, but the support at check in was brilliant. The apartment was lovely, though not exceptional. The beds and couches were okay for comfort. We were really happy with our stay ❤️

My 7-night holiday was such a good one. I was on the 13th floor and loved the apartment, especially the beautiful balcony view. Everything was nearby, and I had no problems at all. I’d happily recommend it and plan to come back next holiday.
