The location is lovely, but the rooms were dusty, smelly, and really uncomfortable, with cobwebs everywhere. The shared kitchen also needs a deep clean, and some of its equipment should be replaced. They need to get the place properly cleaned and made more comfortable. I regret choosing it for my holiday and wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The floor was sticky, the place smelled bad, and there was someone else’s hair in the bed. Just terrible. How can they charge people to stay here? There are better motels within a 10-minute drive.

Had a really enjoyable stay at this lovely little tourist park. There are plenty of facilities, and it’s handy that you can order food at the shop. Thanks, guys!

Being so close to Second Valley Beach was the one good thing about this awful stay. I used the Coast is Calling voucher and paid only $60 for two nights, but this was still the worst cabin I’ve ever stayed in. The worst part was finding a big dog’s poop right outside my door. The smell came into the cabin, and when I opened the door, flies and bugs swarmed in. A young staff member came quickly and cleaned most of it, but that seemed to spread the smell faster, and I started gagging. When I got back from the beach, I couldn’t find any staff, so we had to put up with it all night. Inside, the cabin smelled musty, the bathroom had a strong old urine smell, and it didn’t seem to have been cleaned. I woke up with a sore throat each morning. The heater smelled awful too, and I even saw a cockroach on the bed, which has never happened to me before. Think twice before booking. A holiday should be enjoyable, not something you have to suffer through.

A short walk gets you to the jetty and scenic walking trails. The jetty was quiet when we were there, and algal blooms were affecting fish stocks. There was no squid, though we heard reports of salmon being caught now and then. It’s a good old-fashioned caravan park in a lovely seaside town. Booking was easy and service was good. The grounds were reasonably maintained, but the amenities could use an upgrade. Our cabin was basic, clean and comfortable, and most importantly, pet friendly. The shop has basic supplies, bait, tackle, souvenirs, and 10 litre casks of water, since the tap water on site isn’t potable.
