Surfers Beachside Holiday Apartments

The apartments were disgustingly dirty and unhygienic, with serious problems across several units. Two of the three had black mould, mattresses and floors had huge stains, and the beds had only sheets, no doonas. The kitchen was covered in grease and grime, there were dead insects, and the railing was loose and dangerous in two apartments. We couldn’t stay because of the health and safety risk. We had to urgently find somewhere else to stay, which split up our families.

The location and views were great, and the apartment had everything we needed. But there are two construction sites across the road, and the noise was a major downside. Work started before 6am and woke my two babies every morning, then carried on loudly all day. There was no peace in the unit or near the pool. I wish we’d been told when booking. Otherwise, it’s a great spot.

My family and I never got to stay for our four-night Christmas '25 holiday. I received an email saying our accommodation had been cancelled because of maintenance. No words.

We stayed for nine days in a clean, well-stocked one-bedroom apartment on the 12th floor, with a wonderful view. There was plenty of room in the living and kitchen area even with an extra cot, and lots of wardrobe space. Having a car park was great. The location was fantastic. The pool and spa were lovely and clean, and the small tennis court was a bonus. The sliding balcony door was a little tough to open, but once you got the hang of it, it was fine.
