Kirra Beach Apartments

The location was nice, but the apartment was very dirty, with condensation on the floor. The mattress was so poor that even after we got a topper, I couldn’t sleep on it. I ended up in a tiny room in a child’s bed with my feet sticking out. Renovation work overhead woke us with jackhammers, and guests should have been told about that beforehand. When I complained at checkout, the receptionist cut me off and asked what I expected from a holiday apartment. The place needs a proper clean, an upgrade, and different staff and cleaners. The apartment was a good size, and the location is handy, with the pool at the front, the beach close by and local amenities nearby. But our room wasn’t properly clean at check-in: there were Pringles under one bed and plastic rubbish under another and in the bathroom. That, along with the price, brought down the rating.

We booked this for Christmas 2025 last November, and now we’ve been told the booking is cancelled. They gave no explanation. Absolute rort!

We didn’t use the pool or spa, though both looked inviting. Our two-night stay was impressive from booking through to checkout, with friendly, welcoming management and a spacious, clean, well-kept apartment. The beds and chairs were comfortable, and the balcony had great views and plenty of sun. The kitchen had all the crockery and cutlery we needed, the shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water, and we heard no plumbing noise from other apartments. Premium Foxtel, underground parking and the lift were all good extras. There’s a good evening meal option across the road. The tariff felt realistic, and we’ll likely return and recommend Kirra Beach Apartments.
