Silvershore Apartments on the Broadwater

The pool was lovely and the spa was super hot. I really appreciated reception, too. The staff and permanent residents were welcoming, and the staff were helpful and tried to sort things quickly. Five stars to them. We were booked for several weeks, though, and the apartments made for a rough stay. The first one had a ceiling full of mould. We felt sick straight away and had to move. The staff kindly arranged a one bedroom apartment for one night while we waited for a 2 bedroom one. The third apartment was mould-free but uncomfortable: the recliner was broken, the beds were very uncomfortable, and the air conditioning was freezing in the living area and hot in the bedrooms. After a few weeks without good sleep, we moved elsewhere. A better maintained apartment would have made all the difference. None of the apartments were very clean. They were tidy and had fresh linen, but hadn't had a proper clean in a long time. Looking for dropped toys showed us the place mostly just gets a dust around. It probably would have been fine for a short stay.

The location was lovely, and it felt nicer to stay here than in the main surfers' area. It's near a bus stop, fish/chip shop, restaurant and pub, not far from Harbourtown, and just a short bus ride to Surfers Paradise. We had a sea-view room, and the apartment was a good size and very clean. The front desk ladies were lovely and communicated well before we arrived. They'd arranged an early check-in, and when out flight was delayed 7 hours, they sorted access to the apartment after reception had closed. We used the pool, spa, BBQ area and gym, and all the shared facilities were super clean throughout our stay. I wish the room had a few basics like handwash, salt & pepper and cooking oil. Room service for fresh towels, bedding and toilet roll would have been good too. Otherwise, a great stay and one of the nicer accommodation spots in the GC.

This is our Gold Coast go-to, with a wonderful location and a clean, spacious apartment. The facilities are excellent and the staff are simply the best. It has that perfect home away from home feeling. We absolutely love staying here and can't wait to come back!

The west-facing view meant darker early mornings, and the apartment was spotless. I loved the appliances, and the bedroom aircon was the best, not noisy at all. There's a huge balcony with louver blinds for shade. I used the gym a few times; it was hot, but had fans and aircon. The kids loved the pool and spa, and the BBQ areas are fantastic. Reception staff were lovely, helpful and kind. Highly recommend.
