Arabella Guesthouse

Joe welcomed us and made us feel at home, and everyone we met was friendly and gave us brilliant service. The guest house is tastefully decorated, with high-quality linen and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was delicious, too. Such a lovely stay. We can't wait to return.

Breakfast on the balcony was delicious, especially with that lovely view. My partner and I hadn't known what to expect, but this ended up being one of our favourite places on our three-week trip around Australia. We were greeted warmly, and the room was clean and beautifully decorated, with flowers and cookies as a nice extra. I'd definitely recommend Arabella Guesthouse.

It has a homely feel, and the service was warm. I did find the bathroom less than clean, and there was quite a bit of dust in the room, which bothered my allergies. Breakfast could also have been better quality for the nightly price. Those were small issues, though. Keep up the good work.

The Tea Tree room was lovely, with a partial ocean view, partly blocked by the apartments and hotel buildings along the shore. The ensuite was wonderful, and we had a spa bath. The house has plenty of chairs, tables, knick-knacks and prints, but it still felt relaxed rather than cluttered. The mix of English, Asian and shabby chic furnishings was tasteful. We skipped breakfast, so I can't comment on it. My wife and I stayed one night and happened to be the only guests upstairs, where the main area and kitchen are, so it felt as though we had the whole place. We missed Joe's SMS asking us to let him know when we'd arrive, which caused a small hiccup. After we waited an extra half hour, he extended checkout by the same amount without us asking. He was very hospitable, and his follow-up thank-you SMS was a nice personal touch. My wife fell in love with the place, and so did I. We'll be back.
