The dugout was clean and comfortable, with a modern feel and a lovely front "garden" of potted plants. Dean was the best. He patiently explained the house rules, then suggested activities and local shops. His advice was very candid: "don't go there - owner makes up stories", "visit the breakaways- it's the most beautiful place around here", and even "you'll be wasting your time" when we said we wanted to go noodling. He was spot-on with all his advice!
The property manager lives nextdoor. He was nice and welcoming. Our stay was quiet, clean and comfortable, with a great cave housing experience surrounded by rural areas. Lovely to see the stars 💫
A great outback stay underground, close enough to town, the opal fields, the breakaways and dingo fence. The rooms were spacious, clean and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable visit. Such a unique experience. Don't forget to look up at the amazing night sky.
Dean the Manager is wonderful and will help however he can. The accommodation is fully self contained, with everything you need at hand. Amazing value for money and a real underground experience. Highly recommend.
We were greeted by our host when we arrived and given a great rundown of the accommodation. The beds were very comfy, and the place was much bigger than I expected. Everything was right at our fingertips and very clean. I'd recommend staying at Underground Gem.
