Coolum Budget Accommodation

The room was dirty, and it looked like the floor under the bed had never been cleaned. We paid for a private bathroom, but the toilet wasn't attached to the floor and the shower flooded the bathroom. Being next to the pool also made the room uninhabitable because of the strong chlorine smell. The key we were given for our room also opened the front gate. That seems questionable, since it would mean all the rooms have the same key.

I slept really well for the first time in a while, thanks to the very comfortable mattress, air conditioning that worked perfectly, and a heavy blanket that made the bed extra cozy. The room had a lovely pool view, and the whole place was peaceful. It's in what must be one of Australia's nicest areas, with the beach not far away. The owner's presence and care really stood out. There were thoughtful extras included in the price too: clean towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap and even coffee. Highly recommended!

Nice little rooms in a good area, right near the main street. I was concerned that everyone seemed able to use their room key to open the late-night lock, as if the keys worked on each other's rooms. I could be wrong, though.

Hands down the worst place I've stayed in my life. The rooms are putrid, and the staff and management were absolutely rude. Cheap rooms don't justify that kind of disrespectful, rude behaviour. Do NOT recommend. I wish I could give zero stars.
