We paid $11,000.00 for catering for 176 club members, and what arrived was a complete rip-off. Chardonnay lodge had given us a menu for two dinners on separate nights, then changed it without telling us. The food was like something from an aged care home. I've never been so disappointed in a meal, and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

The open fire was a lovely welcome when our group arrived, and everyone on staff was friendly. Margaret was helpful from the booking right through to the end of the evening, and the food was excellent. She'd sent the menu ahead and let each couple pay separately. She even offered to make Portugese custard tarts for our morning tea during the winery tour. They were delicious. We had organised dinner at Chardonnay Lodge for 23 people as part of our weekend winery trip.

Margaret and Craig were such good hosts, and the food was amazing and tasty. We ate here on both nights. We didn't stay at the accommodation since we'd already booked somewhere else, but the place was seriously dog friendly. We also did the 8 at the gate wine tasting. What more could you ask for?

The sticky date pudding was so good we were fighting over the last spoonful 😊, and the prices were really reasonable, not much above what you'd pay at the local pub. We had a wonderful evening at Chardonnay Lodge, with friendly hosts and a great atmosphere. We ordered the seafood platter for two and enjoyed nearly all of it, though the prawns tasted thawed rather than fresh. Well worth a visit.

The venue is beautiful and can hold a large number of people for the events they host. I was travelling on my own, and Margaret and Craig went out of their way to make me feel welcome. They are amazing hosts, and the meals are excellent.
