The cabins were good, and the laundry facilities all worked. The owner wasn’t readily available. The place felt unkempt, with antique toilets and showers. Fires are allowed. It’s too far from town.

The shower had nice hot water, but the toilets didn’t flush properly and the water pressure needs checking. The bathroom tiling was interesting. The BBQ area needs a good clean, and the whole place is run down and overrun with cobwebs. They use bore water, with tank water for the kettle. After tasting the tank water, we used the water from our caravan tank instead. I chose Cowra Holiday Park for its pool, and the pool was good. Grant was very nice and gave us a discount. The sites are level, there are plenty of shady trees, and it’s a little out of town but not too far. If I had the choice again, I wouldn’t bother with a pool. I’d stay at the caravan park in town, which looked much better and charges the same price.

I stayed Monday to Friday for a few weeks and had a fantastic time. It’s close to my worksite, and the gentleman I dealt with was amazing and helpful. The bathrooms were clean and well kept. I’ll definitely stay here every time.

The leafy location was lovely, though the place is a bit out of town. Traffic noise might bother some people, but I wore ear plugs and it didn’t bother me. Some guests were talking so loudly at 11pm that they woke me despite the ear plugs. My husband asked them to quieten down, and they did. The rules say to keep quiet, especially after 10pm, so we shouldn’t have had to ask. The ladies’ basins had no hot water, which was nasty in the freezing night, while the men’s had hot water. The shower changing area wasn’t big enough for a person, which we both found an unpleasant surprise and would take a lot to fix. I also couldn’t turn the stiff shower taps off completely because I didn’t have the strength. We didn’t use the kitchen, so can’t comment on it.

Management were nice and the amenities were clean, but our tent site was very plain, with hardly any grass and some areas that needed mowing. It was really noisy at night, and you could almost feel the trucks passing. I’d research it before booking to see if it suits your needs.
