We paid by card upfront through the website, then had to cancel a week before our booking because of sickness. I emailed to explain and asked either for a refund or credit for the new year. They sent an automatic acknowledgement but never followed up. After several days, I tried calling and texting more than once. No answer, no reply. They had our money and seemed unwilling to speak with us. Other reviewers mention similar trouble getting responses about various issues, and, like them, we reported the venue to Victorian Consumer Affairs. We can’t say what the accommodation is like, since we didn’t stay. Their customer service is appalling at best and unethical at worst. Beware.

The kangaroos were the highlight, and we love the area. Our bed and bathroom were good, though the room felt dated and basic. Our son’s room had no facilities; the fridge had no shelf and its small freezer didn’t work. One room we’d paid for four months ahead was double-booked. They offered us a free meal at the pub, but we never received it.

Kangaroos wander just a few metres from the room, and there’s a lake about a 20 minute walk away. It’s a lovely quiet spot for relaxing among nature and wildlife, with a comfortable room and a view of the forest.

Our company prepaid for accommodation for two people, then had to cancel. The cancellation confirmation email from October 2024 said “free cancellation,” but the owner has ignored our refund requests by email. Calls aren’t answered, and there’s no way to leave a message.
