The Premier Hotel

Cockroaches, bad smells, broken blinds, and noise. I don't get why this is listed as a "3-star hotel". It felt more like one star.

This is my favourite local watering hole, especially for a beer at happy hour by the corner windows, watching the traffic. The kitchen is always good and consistent, and it has the classic older pub feel, with regular locals. Tay is an amazing staff member and will be missed. It's a good fit if you're not looking for craft beer or a high-end specialist vibe. Just steer clear of the pokies.

My husband's steak was good, but his salad was basically a bowl of greens with one cherry tomato, three small cucumber slices, and six slices of red onion. I ordered grilled barramundi with chat potatoes and green vegetables. The fish wasn't barramundi at all, and seemed like a stale fillet of something else. The chats were overcooked deep-fried potato chunks rather than whole potatoes, and the vegetables amounted to two small broccoli florets. At $18 or $28, there are two prices, it was a waste of money. Wouldn't recommend it.

The whole visit left me feeling uncomfortable, unsatisfied, and disrespected. The atmosphere was unpleasant, and the staff didn't listen to my concerns. The desi staff were extremely rude and unprofessional, with no manners when talking to customers, and acted as if serving us was a favour. Basic customer service was missing completely. The food was also unacceptable. It tasted raw or undercooked, which isn't okay for a restaurant that claims to serve quality meals. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone seeking decent service or good food.
