Damien greeted us at check-in, showed us around and kindly left a snack hamper. We spent the weekend here with friends, enjoying the quiet and peaceful setting, about 10 minutes from Hepburn and 15 minutes from Daylesford. There are four big bedrooms for up to nine people, plus two bathrooms and toilets. The kitchen utensils, towels and conditioner were all provided, so we only needed to bring food to cook. Private dining is available if arranged ahead, but we cooked ourselves and went out for dinner. In the evenings, kangaroos came to visit. I’d stay again and recommend it to friends, though unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures.

The house feels like home with a touch of luxury, and the thoughtful decor and additions make it a lovely place to stay. There are plenty of bedrooms for time to yourself, along with two sitting rooms and outdoor space for being together. Damien is a brilliant, very helpful host. The setting is beautiful, with nature all around, and waking to birds, wildlife and the sounds of the Australian bush was wonderful. Evenings felt peaceful and grounding. Arinya Retreat is tucked into the Hepburn Springs and Daylesford region, close enough to town for the main amenities but secluded enough to feel special. It really has something special about it. Do yourself a favor and book it.

We celebrated my 60th birthday here as a family, and I only wish we could have stayed longer. Damien was an amazing host and had thought of everything we might need. The property is beautiful, tranquil and relaxing, and in a great location. It’s a real treasure. Highly recommend, and I hope we can return one day.

The kangaroos were an absolute delight, and the peaceful surroundings made for a great weekend with my sisters. The property is amazing and the house is spacious. Damien is a sweetheart, and we also enjoyed meeting his friendly cat Puddy. Thanks again, Damien. We’ll definitely be back, it deserves its 5-star rating.

I was able to switch off completely here. About 12 hours in, it felt like the whole world had disappeared, and I haven’t felt this relaxed in years. Arinya Retreat is quiet and tranquil, yet only 10 minutes from town. Damien was very helpful while I was preparing for my stay, and the place has all the little details and more: a comfortable bed and couches, luxury linen, good water pressure, a spa, and useful things like matches and kitchen supplies. It looks just like the pictures, or better. Damien also recommended two amazing masseurs and the boomerang riding ranch, both fantastic. Kangaroos, birds and Puddy the cat were lovely bonuses. Perfect for a romantic weekend or a small group. My only regret is not staying longer. I must come back soon!
