The gardens were lovely to spend time in, and the facilities helped all of us relax. Craig, Bethany Anne, Leroy and I had such a memorable stay at Alaya. I also appreciated the thoughtful moments you gave us to reflect on. We’ll definitely come back.

Craig made us feel welcome from the start. We had a lovely, restful weekend in this beautiful rainforest setting. The room was clean and roomy, and that spa bath felt great after a full day out.

Craig helped me think through what matters most to me and how I might work towards those goals. I’d recommend his Jui Jitsu class too. It opened up a whole new dimension for me and was a game changer. Alaya Ascend is a beautiful forest retreat with a lagoon pool, sauna, float tank, ice bath and more, just right for unwinding and reconnecting. If you’re looking for a next step but aren’t sure where to find it, this may be the place for you.

The forest setting was a lovely escape, and breakfast was generous. I also enjoyed the pool. The water colour was off-putting, though, especially in the bath, where it looked almost brown. We also found a large huntsman in the bedroom at night and cockroaches in the kitchen. There was no microwave, and the unpaved road could be difficult in heavy rain or just after it. About a week before our stay, the owner's unusual mailing list started sending daily emails, mostly asking us to book extras.

The five day retreat left me feeling both challenged and calm. The spas, float tanks and saunas were excellent, but what made it stand out was Craig’s coaching, the chance to explore positive ways to use the mind, and some introductory wrestling. I’ve just finished the men’s retreat at Alaya Ascend, and it offered much more than physical facilities.
