Our family stayed at Alps Heimers, Dinner Plain (3 Heritage Lane, VIC 3898) in September 2025, and it was an extremely distressing experience. On the last night, a mouse appeared inside the house. It hid in the bathroom, moved around the property, and left droppings. We saw it in the bathroom sink the next morning, so we couldn’t even wash. The children were terrified, none of us slept, and we left early because the place felt unlivable. We reported the problem straight away. Maintenance came but couldn’t fix it. We showed photos and video, yet the host refused a refund or a fair resolution and tried to blame us instead. This wasn’t the safe, comfortable holiday we paid for, and it completely ruined our family’s holiday. I’d give minus stars if I could. I have video evidence and all the messages to show what happened. I don’t recommend this property, especially for families.

We had a nice, warm stay and the place is close to amenities. The upstairs floorboards are very creaky, though. If it’s been icy overnight, take care on the little slope leading to the stairs and when climbing them to reach the door. Thanks for a nice stay! : )
