Dubbo Rhino Lodge

Our glamping tent was spotless and roomy enough for us and our two kids, with a spare bed, and the price felt good. Check-in was self-serve, with the tent unlocked and the key waiting inside, so that all went smoothly. We stayed one night for a function at the venue. The zoo is close, which was handy. There was speedway noise nearby until around 11 pm, though it didn't bother us much. Saturday's live music was loud indoors at first, making it hard to talk across the table. We waited between songs, and it seemed to get turned down later. Dinner was mixed. Our pizzas arrived cold, and one was still frozen in the middle. Service was slow on a very busy night when there didn't seem to be enough staff for the crowd. The staff we met were friendly and accommodating, and we appreciated that they took the pizzas off the bill and made us another meal for free. It seems the team is still working out a few kinks, but the combination of glamping and food on site could make this an even better venue. We'd have liked caravan sites on the property, even unpowered ones, along the lines of the Outback Resort in Broken Hill, which also has a pub on site. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Daniel, the caretaker, was friendly, attentive, and ready to help. The clean, inviting grounds made it feel like a relaxing little weekend escape, with all the comforts we wanted. The modern glamping tent had air conditioning and a stylish, well-equipped bathroom, and we found it very comfortable. Worth the price, and we'd gladly come back.

Daniel took good care of us while we were there, and the kids loved the place. We stayed a few nights with family, and our rooms were immaculate, spacious, and clean. The grounds were beautifully kept too. It was just an awesome place to stay, and we can't wait to go again.

I have limited mobility and was given a flush access tent with no stairs. The disability parking was wide, concreted, and right beside the front door. The tent had air conditioning and a full bathroom inside, and everything was extremely clean. Such a lovely glamping spot, only a few minutes' drive from Taronga Dubbo Zoo and next door to the Dubbo Observatory. I'd definitely visit again.
