Outback Cellar & Country Cottage

The secure yard was just right for our mini schnauzer to run around in. Add a lovely view, Roos in the background and the sunset, and it’s hard to ask for more from a backyard. The place has a great rural feel and is a perfect distance from Dubbo. We’ll definitely stay again.

Tracey communicated well and lives onsite, but we still had plenty of privacy. We loved the countryside, trees and animals, and would definitely return. The Cottage worked easily for three adults and two young children, and could suit a family or a small group of friends. It’s about a 15 minute drive into town, so you need a car and to want a proper country stay. Inside, it was cozy, with a little fireplace, ensuites in both bedrooms, and a well equipped small kitchen and dining area. There was plenty of chopped wood, and we stayed warm with the fire going. There’s AC too.

We’ve already booked a week in May 2024. The Cellar was a lovely surprise, beautifully appointed and kept rustic to suit its age. Tracey, the owner, had supplied everything we needed and more, including quality towels and linen. We also had access to a private Italian type courtyard with a pizza oven and barbecue. The gardens were stunning, and the accommodation exceeded our expectations. A beautiful little cat greets you on arrival, too. It can sleep 7, and is 15 minutes from Dubbo Zoo and 10 minutes from the star gazing centre.

Tracey has clearly put a lot of thought and care into the two bedroom cottage at the front. The courtyard and garden were picture pretty, and the bathrooms were spacious, with a luxurious bath. All the beds were comfy, and there’s a fireplace in the living room. We really enjoyed everything about the cottage.
