There’s plenty of room to sit indoors or outside, and the grounds are gorgeous. A wedding was going on while we were there, which was lovely to watch. The food was fresh and tasty, with familiar dishes as well as some different options. Coffee was okay, nothing special. The chicken waffles let things down: they were much too sweet, and the waffles seemed to be packet ones warmed up rather than homemade.

A lovely spot for lunch with a girlfriend, with a good choice of food and drinks. The views are gorgeous, almost like a Monet painting.

The location is stunning and it’s pet friendly. Our room was clean, and the staff were extremely helpful.

Dinner was a frustrating experience. We waited 15 minutes while being ignored, then were told nobody was available to take our order, even though we had booked. Staff seemed to be out back playing cards and drinking while the restaurant was still open. The rooms were horrid, and the place felt filthy and disgusting. The shower was just a solid stream with no proper shower flow, and the rooms and guests clearly need more care. It was all so underwhelming that I’ll never come back to this hovel. Don’t be fooled by the room photos. I left disgusted, and would avoid this place.

The cozy room and super comfortable bed made for a nice stay. We could hear the water running downstream, which was delightful, but there was no road noise from nearby Brookton Hwy, so I slept soundly despite being a light sleeper. The staff were friendly and polite, and arriving after hours was reassuring with the lockbox available. I’d gladly return.
