Siesta Villa

The room wasn’t properly clean, and I had to scrub the bathtub before the kids could use it. We couldn’t let the baby crawl on the floor. For what we paid, I was really disappointed with its condition. The door had just one lock and didn’t feel secure. The fridge was too small for even two nights of food, so we had to make do with a microwave and kettle. The location was good, close to town, but the rooms need a revamp instead of guests being cycled through constantly.

The staff were lovely and very friendly, especially the man at reception. The lake is within walking distance, and Jindabyne town centre is about a seven-minute drive away.

I injured my MCL on the snow, so I spent a lot of time relaxing at the hotel while my family went skiing. We had a wonderful week with the kids. The crisp white linen and clean rooms were lovely, and there were open fires in reception. It was good value for a family visiting for the snow. The manager was great, always available and working, and the staff were very friendly.

The doors didn’t lock from inside, and the chain locks seemed to have been removed, so the rooms didn’t feel safe. I was shocked by their condition: dingy, with peeling paint on the doors and walls. For the price, I expected somewhere clean and maintained, but the property is very old and looks like it’s falling apart. They also charged an extra 220 for my children, even though we’d booked a family room that sleeps six.
