Pastoral Hotel Motel Echuca CBD

The best damn Parma I’ve had in ages. My mate had the rissols and veg and said it was bloody perfect.

We came from out of town and chose the pastoral because it was the most affordable place we found in echuca. The beds were very comfortable and everything was hygienically clean. We also loved that it was attached to a bottle-o, and the location turned out to be incredibly handy, just a pleasant five-minute walk from all the good spots in town. The other guests were lovely too. One neighbour politely mentioned the noise without any bad feeling, so we shut our window and that was the end of it. Iconic spot, we’d stay again. Keep up the great work, guys.

The room was small, but it had what we needed: a bathroom and shower, microwave, bar fridge, tea and coffee, and AC. We only needed somewhere to sleep, so it was perfectly adequate and decent value for money. The location was great, just behind the main street and opposite the train station. The shops and Workers Club are within walking distance, depending on your age and fitness. There’s also a bar attached to the front of the property, which was great.

It feels like stepping back in time to a proper pub, the kind I haven’t been to in 15 or 20 years. The service felt genuine, and the meals were amazing, with very generous portions. Skip the touristy places in town and come here for a real country pub experience.
