Emerald Executive Apartments

We booked at the last minute on the way into town and paid $89, which was very good value. The room was much bigger than we expected, with a full size small fridge, microwave, cook top and kitchenette. We liked getting the door code by text, and had paid and received it within about 15 minutes. Everything was clean and working except for a broken toilet roll holder. The room had a balcony overlooking the golf course, a nice spot to eat dinner and watch the lorikeets in the trees. There was an odd smell, but it wasn’t unpleasant. We’d stay again at that price. Four stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Room 5 was in a shocking state. There was rubbish under the bed, dust on the fan, mould in the bathroom and pubic hair near the toilet and in the shower. The sponge, cutlery and cups were dirty too. The room smelled awful, and the blankets didn’t seem clean. We had a horrible two nights and worried about all the DNA left around the room. I’m glad my husband farted because it covered some of the stink. Coles being close by was the one good thing, since we could buy disinfectant. The washing machine and laundry area looked as dirty as the carpet, and neither was working, so washing those old, dank blankets wasn’t an option. From the reviews, it seems management is dropping the ball. I’d like to hear from management about a reimbursement. This was absolutely woeful. I’m not sure where to add the photos.

The room was tidy and clean, though it could use some general maintenance. The shower screen was barely hanging on, the exhaust fan was clogged, and the water only trickled from the shower. When we first entered, there was a strong vomit smell.

We booked on 1st April for a 14th July arrival, then on 8th July the property told us the owner needed the apartment back and they couldn’t accommodate us. When I asked why, they gave no explanation. We were driving 1500kms from Sydney for a major event in Emerald and got less than a week’s notice. They offered no solution except more expensive places in town that I could find myself. The service was horrific, the worst I’ve encountered. I won’t stay here and will tell people I know about this. I had to give one star, but it should be zero.
