We had a quiet night, tucked away a little from the main road, and couldn't tell there were guests next door. The room was clean and well appointed, with a comfy bed and everything you'd expect, plus a bit more for the star rating. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We'll stay again.

We felt very welcome stopping here on our way to Cairns. The owners were super nice, and the motel was clean and cosy. The candle lit paths at night were a lovely touch. Great place if you're travelling with a pet, and we'd definitely stay again.

We had to make a last minute trip to Emerald with only two hours' notice, and Darryl was amazing and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable, just right for an overnight stop. Thanks, Darryl, for being so understanding. Highly recommend this little gem.

After driving back from the Station, it felt like coming home. We were worn out, and Jan and David Griffith's welcoming manner and lovely accommodation meant a lot to us. We even had coffee and toast with them on the morning we left. Their genuine interest and friendship helped make revisiting the Station where we grew up a beautiful memory. My sister and I found the Overflow Motor Inn on the internet as we approached Emerald on our way to Avon Downs Station near Mount Coolon. After the long drive from Brisbane, it felt like an oasis: warm, comfortable, clean and well serviced, with delightful, down to earth owners. We made sure to return on our way home. It's moderately priced, and we'll definitely be back.

A funny thing to praise, maybe, but the owner stocks the same super soft toilet paper I have at home. It's simple, but so well presented, like a room he'd be happy to stay in himself.
