Just off the highway, a cosy country pub with good food, drinks and warm country hospitality. The locals clearly know and respect the place, and there’s always time for a yarn and a laugh. Brilliant, thanks.

We felt right at home here, especially settling by the fire on a winter afternoon. The meals were beautiful, and the service and friendly locals made us feel welcome and comfortable. It’s a lovely old country pub. A big sign on the main road saying “cold beer, hot meals, accommodation” would make it easier for people to spot the turnoff.
The pub’s walls have pictures that capture its history, and it’s just the sort of bush pub I love seeing. We’d camped overnight with our horses at the Ensay recreational reserve, then found this place on Google Maps and came in for dinner. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommend.
That parma was massive and such good value, with tender, succulent chicken. Best one I’ve had in years, maybe ever. As The Proclaimers might sing, I’d drive 500 miles, then 500 more, just to have another Parma inside the Little River Inn. They didn’t actually sing that last bit, but they should’ve!
Good, generous tucker at a fair price, and the ambience was excellent.
