Jerry and Sharma made us feel so welcome, and the downstairs restaurant served the best goulash I’ve ever had. Breakfast and dinner were both great too. The whole place is cozy and full of character, with everything we needed. We’ll definitely come back.

I came back to Karelia Alpine Lodge for dinner in 2025, 32 years after staying there in the early 90s. It was still cozy, and the food was fabulous. Jerry was still looking after the place and his guests, with a great team around him. It made me so happy to have another lovely experience there. I’ve always remembered that first stay. Breakfast and dinner were included, the food was great, and the accommodation was cozy. On one especially rough weather day, Jerry even brought lunch to me in the guest lounge. I’ll always appreciate that kindness.

The cooked and continental breakfasts were delicious, and Jerry and his partner were lovely hosts. The lodge also made a real impression with its charming decor, almost like stepping into a Christmas movie from another time. It’s our first stay at Karelia Lodge, and its ski-in, ski-out location made the trip easy. My partner and I had a fantastic visit to Falls Creek and will be back.

Jerry greets you each morning and is so kind. You can tell he puts a lot of heart into the place. It’s really cute, with adorable Austrian-style decor and a quaint feel. Breakfast was tasty, though the complimentary serving was quite small, and the price felt pretty steep.
