The wildlife and privacy made this feel like our own little world. We barely saw anyone after the easy self check-in, just rabbits passing by and sea eagles overhead. The villas are arranged so discreetly that you’d never guess other guests were nearby. After all the hikes, we were worn out, but the spa, sauna, comfy bed and great pillows had us feeling rested by morning. We’d been road-tripping around Tasmania in our campervan and added this stay as a bit of luxury after getting engaged. It turned out to be much more than a little extra. We stayed in the spa and sauna villa, where even the bathroom windows keep the ocean in view. Everything felt carefully thought through, from the lovely decor to the native flowers and chocolates waiting when we arrived. The hosts didn’t know about our engagement, so those touches are simply part of the stay. Such a special break within our holiday. We couldn’t recommend it more.

Booking and check-in were both easy, and the property looked just as promised, with even more to it once we arrived. A special place to stop on an east coast road trip. We’d happily come back, and stay longer next time. See you soon 👍👍👍

The rock pools and setting are lovely, and the architecture and interior design make for a really restful place. 10 stars for that. We stayed in the spa villa, though, and the spa was a flaw for us. It was too hot to be comfortable, heavily chlorinated, and the moulded seats left no room to move. It also blocked the view from the accommodation, and getting back to the unit meant a chilly walk. A thoughtfully done, delightful place overall, with that one drawback.

We arrived on 24 March 2025 at 3pm for a five-day stay. The day was sunny and 22 degrees C, and we loved the location, the views, and the roomy, well-appointed villa. But inside it was uncomfortably hot as soon as we walked in, even with the windows open. The big north-facing windows let in a lot of sun. We shut the blinds and opened the front door, hoping to cool things down, but there are only two opening windows in the living area, so ventilation felt inadequate. The flat roof may not be well insulated either. An air conditioner was available, but we didn’t want to use one; we wanted to sit with the blinds open, enjoy the quiet and take in the view. Outside in the shade it was pleasantly cool, with a sea breeze strong enough that we’d probably have needed a jumper after 15 minutes. We decided straight away to give up the booking and lose 100% of the non-refundable cost. We phoned the owner/provider to explain that we no longer needed the accommodation and why, then drove the three hours home.
