There was pubic hair in the shower and on the bathroom floor. The beds were very firm, and the pillows were extremely flat. There were three of us, so I asked reception for three extra pillows. The staff member questioned whether we had pillows in the room, then walked off and came back later with two more flat ones, saying that was all they had. The service was very bare-bones and transactional, from the clipped “checking in?” to asking for my credit card and licence. It’s a very basic hotel, and a long way from the service I usually get at Accor hotels. I wouldn’t be rushing back.

The desk staff showed no empathy, answered dismissively in one-word replies, blamed their coworkers and even blamed us. The woman also refused to give the manager’s name. After we’d booked more than a month in advance, we were told just minutes before arrival that there was no room unless we paid an extra $420. We were pressured to put a family of five, including three small children, into one room, which we felt was illegal and unsafe. The whole experience at ibis hotel was absolute chaos, appalling, humiliating, and deeply distressing. It showed no accountability or basic decency, and I strongly warn families to avoid ibis hotel.

This place cost us over $300 a night. Honestly, I’d say it’s worth no more than $50 a night, and is a one-star hotel at best.

The dinner and breakfast room service was well cooked, nicely presented, and arrived on time. WiFi was good too, and although the TV felt small by today’s standards, it had foxtel. We’ve stayed here twice, for three nights each time. The staff were friendly, the rooms a little dated but clean, and the beds comfortable.
